Yesterday I received a commission to bind a blank book for a baby shower. The criteria: 1) Can’t look too baby-ish; 2) Client wants shower guests to be able to write in it and it must be able to house photos from the shower; 3) and it has to be completed by Friday night and delivered on Saturday for the shower.
This, of course, means that I have no time to order supplies and have to raid my already depleted stash. In my mind, I thought I had more of certain papers, but it turns out I didn’t. So after a momentary panic attack (looking at my stash aghast and thinking (&^%#!!$@). I came up with this:
I think it will look great once I finish it. I made a simple sketch to use as a map, but experience has taught me to be open to possibilities. Paper can sometimes surprise you with its behavior and present some aesthetically interesting solutions!
